Under RA 8200, it states that Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital shall have the capabilities of a tertiary hospital increasing its bed capacity to two hundred (200) beds and shall be under the direct administrative and technical supervision of the Department of health
It also states that the amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this act shall be included in the General Appropriation Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
And also RA 8200 states that the Department of Health shall formulate the necessary guidelines for its operation as a tertiary hospital.
Coordinates with other DOH-Retained Hospitals, LGU’s, private sectors and other departments, offices and agencies on matters pertaining to health services
Provides advisory, consultancy, training assistance both on technical and logistics to local government units, Non-Government Organization, Peoples Organizations, private organizations in the provision of efficient and effective health services to the people.
Develops and implements, plans, programs and projects as stipulated in national policies, goals and objectives for health
